I create hand thrown ceramics from my studio, Cornerstones Pottery, in Northumberland. Working on a traditional potter's kick wheel, as well as electric, my stoneware is designed for everyday use, glazed with layers of colour inspired by the local landscape.  I would describe my pieces as practical as well as pleasing. They are useful, durable and beautiful - each piece is unique, due to my loose style of glazing, which allows each piece its own character, while also being similar in form and colour tones to my collection.

Protecting the environment is important to me and at my studio, waste clay is reclaimed and worked back into production and glaze washings are collected, rather than poured away, then used to create my signature Mystery Glaze for the following year. I also use solar power to fire my kiln.
